Ins and Outs of Cable TV (Using digital alongside analog CATV)

CEU Credit: .2

CEU Course: 06-1813*

Length: 2 hours

Description:  With the evolution of TV content into the digital age, installers are hitting new and constant barriers to implementing analog systems in parallel with data services within the home.  Data services range from Internet Service Provider (ISP) to Pay Per View (PPV).  This creates additional design constraints which should be mitigated during installation of a video distribution system.  The training begins with TV and digital theory and ends with direct, application training to successfully combine the best of both analog and digital.

Course Power Point (4.61 MB file size)

Objective:  To equip installers with the skills required to install analog RF modulation that can co-exist with content providers' digital content, such as Pay-Per-View and High Definition television (HDTV).

Method of Presentation and Evaluation:  Classroom presentation with slides and actual product.  Evaluation is through question and answer period at end of training.
