Learn features and functions of the PERS-2400B and PERS-3600B with hands-on sessions for programming each system.

Day 1 - Video Modulation and Distribution

This class will cover video modulation and distribution, problems with digital cable, and benefits of structure wire products. Discover solutions we offer to the top ten problem calls received by our Call Center.

Day 2 - Whole House Music

Gain experience in theory and set up on:

• MDS-6A and Encore Digital Audio Distribution Systems
• 12-volt and 5-volt IR systems

Receive hands-on training with coax and data connections

Day 3 - High Definition Video Distribution

Learn HDTV theory and set up.

Recap with a review of all products followed by a short test

Three Day Class

Day 1

Learn what’s going on behind the walls and in the ceilings of a Linear Intercom installation.

Start with a Linear Intercom product overview. Continue training with topics including:

• Electro-Magnetic Induction (EMI)
• High voltage versus low voltage wiring
• Balanced versus unbalanced circuits
• AC versus DC voltages
• Twisted versus un-twisted wiring
• National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Cat-5 protocol
• Audio, mechanical and electrical feedback

Day 2

Apply what has been learned in Day 1. Receive hands-on instruction in the proper techniques and practices of intercom installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Learn to install the Linear line of dmc intercoms. Conclude intercom training with practice applications and product overview.

Day 3

Receive factory training in the techniques and practices for the installation, servicing and maintenance of Linear Platinum and Red Series Central Vacuums.

• Central Vacuum pipe plumbing (best practices/techniques)

• Troubleshooting

Conclude Central Vacuum training with practice applications and product overview

Day 1

Installation and programming of Stand Alone Access Controllers

Learn hardware, wiring scenarios, programming, and applications of Linear Stand Alone Access Controllers.

Day 2

Installation and programming of Networkable Telephone Entry and Access Control Systems

Acquire detailed knowledge of hardware, wiring scenarios, programming options, applications and trouble shooting of Linear networkable telephone entry and access control systems. You will learn that Linear Entry Solutions work seamlessly for every conceivable situation.

Day 3

Gate Operators

Gain an in-depth knowledge of gate operator types, application considerations, system design, common accessory wiring, and industry safety standards.
